teenage boy. the contra costa county district attorney's office has charged 52-year-old joel kaufman with molestation and secretly videotaping another boy undressing in a bathroom. he was arrested in august for the same thing but was never charged. kaufman lives in orinda and coaches of baseball teams all over the bay area. most recently, the california smoke baseball club. he has times in palo alto high school and bishop o'dowd in oakland. it is not known if the two victims played on his teams. anyone with information is urged to call orinda police extra police on air gone high school in san mateo following a threat of violence posted online. it was posted anonymously on the facebook confession page where students go to post problems and hear back from other students about potential solutions. clifford knauss is a leading expert on how people interact

with technology. one possible cause is that facebook and other social media reduce the need for face to face int actions among young people. >> they become extremely stressful. there is pressure on social media to be more positive on things like facebook pages. in some sense, the only place they can express their negative feelings become these anonymous sites. >> police are not releasing the exact content of this threat. some parents telling nbc bay area they are considering keeping their children out of school today. because the anonymous posts on facebook confession page. argon high school says it is taking it very seriously. we are getting new pictures from israel this morning in the president's middle east visit. mahmoud abbas is speaking. president is about to speak. he is also getting ready to hold a press conference, a joint press conference with the

cell. police say bell kicked a young girl right in the chest on march 11th, knocking her down to the pavement. the girl was not seriously injured. she also allegedly threaten aid young woman at that park. a cyclist accused of hitting and killing a ped in san francisco's castro district facing vehicular manslaughter charges today. chris boucher ran multiple stop signs before running into sue khi wi and killing him. the man accused of stealing a taxi and ramming a police car, the judge is deciding whether he should be released without bail and placed into a rehab facility. they say he was drunk when he ran the car forcing officers to shoot at him. russell was not hurt. he remains in jail 4:36. a teen robbery suspect on the run after attacking two people near downtown san jose.

police say a teenage boy approached a man at 19th and san antonio not far from san jose high school. he demanded money. the suspect hit him in the head with an on jek. the suspect escaped with cash. the oakland auditor released a report showing some city council members inappropriately influencing city operations. that revealed 14 different times council members or their aides interfering in administrative affairs. they include a council member interfering with two city recreation centers. another threatening a city's employee work assignment and a council aide improperly asking staff to reduce the aide's parking fees. they will have to decide what kind of punishment, if any, the violators will face.

work. good morning. folks in the bay bridge poll plaza, easy, light drive from the looks of the toll plaza. about an hour ago, a big rig hit one of the toll plazas. no one was injured. the truck was over the shoulder chp still has that in their incident report. there might be a distraction over on the shoulder but you can slow past the scene and not have any delays. a smooth drive over from the berkeley curve to the bay bridge toll plaza and down the freeway. on the peninsula side, south 280, reports of a wrongway driver heading south on the northbound side in the fashion the lane. chp getting a number of reports. be careful traveling 280 around 380 in both directions. it is not quite clear what's going on, confusing reporting somebody on the wrong side of the freeway. over foster sit sti, san mateo bridge, clear, again, we

will track 280. back to you. the golden gate bridge is about to go cashless. the new electronic tolling system is set to go in effect in less than a week. they will hold a public hearing to discuss raising the speed limit for the toll plaza from 15 miles per hour to 25. other bridges in the bay area have limits of 25 miles per hour in the fast-track lanes only. if approved, the new speed limit would take effect with the electronic tolling system that goes online next wednesday. >> 4:had 1. a tradition. we can call it basketball and beverages. the san jose bar is opening up getting ready for march madness. >> ncaa tip-off at 11:10 this morning. the eight teams playing in san jose got a chance to check out the court yesterday. >> among those teams, cal, which starts its quest for the final four at precisely 4:37. the bears taking on the running

pressure. it is going to boost the storm track to the north and keep it there just about all weekend long. then, as we head throughout next week, we have the storm tracker right back here. we need the rain this time of year and it looks like we are going to get a pretty good amount as we head through the middle of next week. we are actually looking pretty good in terms of our average. 64, san jose and 66 in los gatos. temperatures are going to climb. we are at 72 degrees by saturday. that means, go ahead and make those outdoor plans this weekend. it is going to be comfortable. a lot of people kicking offspring break, college students and your little ones might be as well. you can get them outdoors through monday. tuesday and wednesday, we bring back the rain. it is also going to help keep the atmosphere clean in terms of the pollen creeping around. that's good news. our pollen numbers will creep up this weekend. the levels will drop as we get the next round. >> the nation's leading

pediatrician group coming out in support of gay marriage. the american academy of pediatrics showing research showing a stable relationship between parents contributes to a child's well-being while a parent's sexual orientation has no effect on the child's development. a group published this new policy online. this report coming as the u.s. supreme court appears to hear two separate gay marriage cases next week. >> a bay area landmark commemorating a big-time mark. 52 years ago alcatraz closed as a federal penitentiary. they opened an exhibit of never-before-seen photos. a former prisoner, i guess better than a current prisoner, along with guards that worked on alcatraz will be on hand for this event. nbc bay area will be at today's exhibit and have a full report at 5:00 tonight. 4:51. tense moments as a commuter

plane is forced to make an emergency landing with only one working engine. you can see the propeller isn't spinning on one side tichlts on the other. the plane carrying two dozen passengers landed safely in toronto yesterday. no one was hurt. the twin engine plane was having hydraulic problems but the pilot managed to touch down with no trouble. ended up being smooth sailing there. it is 4:51. we will tell you about one former san francisco giant telling us about why he will not be joining the former team even if they ask him. he has designed gowns for the first lady and now helping out a bay area charity. >> oakland, nice bright lights coming southbound. camera shakes a bit. road crews on the move. we will talk about the wrong-way driver we have been updating on the peninsula coming up.

a high school baseball coach. palo alto is one of the school's listed on joel kaufman's resume. he coached one season back in 2006. he is officially charged with several felonies and a few misdemeanors for crimes he committed against several minors. officials believe there are more victims. we can show you what he looks like. we have a mug shot of 52-year-old joel kaufman. this was taken in august when he was arrested for the same thing. charges were not filed then because police had not finished their investigation. kaufman lives in orinda and a $300,000 warrant is out for his arrest. the contra costa county district attorney says he molested one teen boy younger than 14 over a span of seven years in this time frame in '05 to 2012, he is accused of drugging this boy and then raping him.
